How to Care for Your Candle

They're pretty. They smell good. They can also become destructive fire demons!! Follow these tips for safety and candle excellence.

BEFORE

- REMOVE any candle decor before burning (crystals, charms, flowers, etc.)

- Keep candle free of debris, including wick trimmings.

- Trim wood wicks to 1/4" before lighting.

- Burn for at least 1-2 hours on your first lighting, or until wax is melted to the edge of the container. This will prevent "tunneling" of the wax or uneven melting.

DURING

- Burn within sight. Do not leave a candle lit unattended

- Keep away from: flammable items, children & animals, vents & other air currents.

- Only burn candle on level, sturdy, fire-resistant surface.

- Keep multiple lit candles at least 3 inches apart

- Burn no more than 4 hours at a time. The flame can get too large or the container may get excessively hot and cause damage.

AFTER

- Extinquish candle and use once 1/4" of wax remains or when metal wick clip becomes visible

- Candles may be HOT. Do not handle while candle is lit or wax is liquified.

- Once cooled, replace lid or dust cover to keep wax clean and to prevent issues with future burns

IN CASE OF FIRE, DO NOT USE WATER TO EXTINGUISH OIL-BASED FIRES. IT CAN QUITE LITERALLY BLOW UP IN YOUR FACE.
